Changing Lives through Home Ownership
Meet Edwin and Lidia, Spring of Life’s newest homeowners.
Parents to two young children, Edwin and Lidia have been living in a tiny apartment that was an add-on to Lidia’s grandfather’s home. Edwin is a self employed carpet installer and while caring for their children, Lidia is going to school to get her bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She hopes one day to work in the ER of a local hospital.
For a long time, Edwin has had a goal of giving his family a home to call their own. And, as of June 2015, that dream is coming true–thanks to Spring of Life Partnership!
Lidia recently told us “The idea of us finally having our own home has made us very excited and very happy. My daughter is thrilled and can not wait to finally have her own room. And I am super excited to finally have a kitchen where I actually can move around. Without the wonderful volunteers at Spring of Life and Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley, this wouldn’t be possible. Edwin and I are so blessed to soon have a home for our family. A place for our children, a place for them to actually grow up in. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to help us make are dream come true. God is Good!”
Jazmin and Salvadore are forever grateful to Spring of Life.
They are proud parents of three beautiful children and had been living in a tiny one bedroom apartment.
While both employed full time, they were never sure they would be able to afford a home of their own. Now, thanks to Spring of Life, they have a yard for their three children and are living the American Dream.
